i always look forward to family get togethers. there’s none quirkier than my relatives, none more dysfunctional. lovably dysfunctional, that is.

and they’re never shy. grown up,

or not.

i feel so amateur looking at my photos and then looking at random Interesting Flickr photos. grabe, when will I be that good?

anyway, still practicing for now. be my model? =)

Ikaw ba’y na-indiyan na sa date?

Nakakain ka na ng 10 orders ng french fries, wala pa rin.

Natunaw na’t lahat ang ice cream mo, pati yung taong tinititigan mo sa kabilang table sa inis.

Pero wala pa rin.

Kuha ito nung kolehiyo ako para sa Photography class. Sayang hindi natuloy yung balak kong istorya para sa theme ngayong buwan. Pero buti nahalungkat ko pa yung mga lumang contact prints ko.

Freestyle [lp]

Masunurin akong bata eh, kaya freestyle itong una kong litrato. Hehe.

Kuha to nung college ako, nung nag-take ako ng basic photography class. Ito si Chody, kasama siya sa UP Streetdance Club kaya magaling siya mag-freestyle ng kung ano-ano sa pagsayaw at break dance.

Kaya lang, ang sagwa ng pagkaka-develop ko (manual kami noon, kami mismo nag-process sa dark room) kaya ayan, may tama ng mga fingerprints at ang daming scratches! Kahit mahirap mag-develop ng sariling film, masaya pa rin kasi feel na feel mo ang pagiging photographer mo. Sana wag tuluyang mawala ang film photography no?

Ito ay isang work of art.

O kaya’y litrato ng isang hubad at nakakaakit na maganda at seksing babae. Nasa tumitingin yan, diba? Kilala ko yung isa diyan na kapag nakita tong picture na to eh, alam mo na.

Pag tumanda ako, ayoko magmistulang natutuyo, nalalagas, o nanghihina. Ewan ko kung bakit, basta ayaw ko lang. Sino ba may gustong maging ganon pagtanda diba? Hehe.

Waiting in vain

What’s it like to wait for someone, or something, not knowing if it will ever come?

It’s a killer. You exhaust your list of things to do, hoping that in the middle of watching a rerun of FRIENDS your phone might ring.

But it doesn’t. You’ve finished a bag of 500-calorie chips and nobody’s still knocking at your door.

Your heart melts into an unrecognizable pulp because you’ve waited for far too long.

Until it’s too late.

The one you’ve been waiting for finally gets there and you’re already gone.

Scanned my old Film 110 plates taken in college for a photo story-themed project. I don’t remember if I ever got a 1.0 on this one, but I remember having fun. Camera: Minolta, Film: Fuji black and white.
