Sa June 29 (Sri Lanka) at July 3 (Rizal Stadium, Manila), haharapin ng Philippine National Football team, o mas kilala sa tawag na Azkals, ang Sri Lanka para sa 2012 FIFA World Cup qualifers.

Kailangan natin manalo, not necessarily in both games dahil aggregate scoring ito. Kung ano ang ‘maipon’ na score sa first game, carried over yun sa 2nd. Pero shempre better kung makalamang na, maaga palang.

So, do you believe (Cher: in life after love?) haha. I believe in the team. Classic Pinoy sports team yan eh, parang basketball. Kung kailan crunch time saka nagde-deliver. Parang Ginebra =) Pero higit sa lahat, talagang loaded with talent itong team nating bago.

If anything, football is a game of tremendous hard work, skill, and team work. The 4 conceded goals were not a testament of how the goalkeeper missed a step, but that our national soccer team needs to gel more to prevent the offense from scoring easy goals.

Excited ka na ba? May FIFA World Cup qualifying game tayo against Sri Lanka sa June 29 sa Sri Lanka, at sa July 3 dito naman sa Rizal Stadium. Suportahan natin ang team natin.

Azkals vs UFL All Stars friendly game | Jun 2011 | Canon EOS 400D

Sa larong ito, walang preno-preno. When you see the shot, you take it.

Sayang lang wala akong zoom lens kaya wala akong high action shots na nakuha.

Wish ko lang na makakuha ang Philippine National football team, aka Azkals, ng support, hindi lang financially kundi ng suporta ng mga Pinoy. FYI, matagal na ang futbol sa Pinas — as early as 1920s.

Let’s be proud that the Azkals have put us back on the football map. And besides,  a lot children in depressed areas find this to be a very good outlet and opportunity na makaahon sa hirap.
