Hindi lang ngayon [LP]
a song comes to mind: “sana ngayong pasko…”
ay may makaing masarap.
may bagong damit at tsinelas.

oo nga eh. i figured, instead of just taking pictures of these kids in their current lot, why not in their ‘childhood’ state? =)

Happy LP!

Like Emarene, I love the third pic, too.
My heart goes out for these children. I used to be one of them. Although I wasn’t a street child, I was born poor. But I never lose hope. It was all I had. Hope. And the love and concern of people around me: family, relatives. And the random kind acts from strangers. It was all it took to keep me afloat.
So I promised myself that if there will come a time that I see an opportunity to help children in my own little way, I will do it. This is why Pens of Hope was born.

hello, it’s nice to hear your story. that could definitely inspire other kids who have nothing to look forward to. sana makasama ka minsan sa mga outreach ng virlanie. o kahit anong group who does them. unlike you, these kids aren’t so fortunate.
you’re right too, hope is what makes all the difference. plus the kindness of other people too. mind telling me what Pens of Hope is? baka makatulong. =)

Hi Ms. Iris,
Salamat po. Yes, I’ve been involved in some small groups’ efforts to help out kids. Masarap sa pakiramdam lalo’t alam na alam ko what they’re going through.
Salamat din for asking about Pens of Hope. Pens of Hope used to be a dream of mine. It became a reality through the support of kindhearted bloggers and individuals who have heard about it. The project gathers pencils and distributes them to the needy children in Northern Samar. Mas mabuti sigurong makita mo ang project through photos. There’s a photo at my blog header with Pens of Hope written on it, kindly click it na lang po and you’ll be directed to the posts tagged Pens of Hope. There’s going to be another distribution hopefully within the week.
Some people from Davao have adopted the project and came up with the name “Pens of Hope in Davao”. They are maintaining a blog, pensofhopeindavao.blogspot.com. Pakidamay na rin sa pagbisita
Maraming salamat po uli! Have a blessed day.

spread the happiness
