This Journal Will Actually Change Your Life 2009
I looove my new 2009 planner.

Not that my life needs a lot of changing (it actually does, but that’s another story). I just happened to have a very hectic life these days and Bill Gates cannot keep up with me. I’m relying on my laptop’s Outlook Calendar, which means whenever I need to check my schedule and things to do, I still need to open it. And that’s a bit inconvenient when I don’t want to lug it around wherever I go.
So, part of my wishlist this year was to get This Journal Will Actually Change Your Life. And my wish was granted early, thanks to my dear cousin.
Yey! Truth is, I actually completed the Starbucks Planner sticker thingamajig, but I’m picking this one over it.
First because This Journal is a gift. And second, the Starbucks planner is actually painfully boring. This Journal has a monthly calendar, pretty ample space in the weekly pages, and an annual calendar on top of each so you don’t need to flip back to the first page.
This Journal also has bits of trivia and information scattered throughout the year, like: “Did you know that an average chocolate bar has 8 insect legs in it.”
So now you know why I love this thing.
And for people who need to have a reason to get up each day and celebrate, This Journal calendars all known legal (and crazy) holidays on the entire planet (well I think it does), including “Thomas Crapper* Day”. You’re probably wondering if This Journal Will Actually Change Your Life now. If it makes you feel better, on April 6 it’s Drop Of Water Is A Grain Of Gold Day in a country whose flag is green with a moon on it. Who knows, you might feel compelled to celebrate it as well.
At the beginning of each month (or the end, whichever way you see it), there is an Expense Chart, and random stuff from an article on the “10 benefits of a good night’s sleep” to Animal Conservation tips/resources. There’s also a Mood Chart and blank pages for your scribbles in between weeks.
I really think I’m doing little justice to This Journal because my brain is on vacation overdrive mode (yey long weekend!). So I think you’d better check it out yourself in any Fully Booked or Powerbooks store.
*Thomas Crapper was the guy who invented the flush toilet.
