Parisukat [litratong pinoy]04.17.08

Butterfly Haven04.15.08

I think I’ve developed a new kind of phobia — being scared that summer will soon be over and I have not made the most out of it. So being the proactive person that I am, I have taken advantage of free and/or long weekends to soak in as much sun and swim in as much water. And I think I’ve been imposing myself on Mia too.

Just about an hour and thirty minutes away from Manila, a butterfly haven is nestled in the heart of Pulilan, Bulacan in an unassuming old house. The place doubles as a wedding reception site, a resort, a tourist spot, and even movie/TV locations.

Splash! [weekend snapshot]04.14.08

Splash!

Mia and I enjoyed a bit of summer fun at the Pulilan Butterfly Farm in Bulacan. Three swimming pools, nice landscaping, good company, and lots of food. Good times.

And yeah, they breed butterflies for use in weddings and events.

Glass Tomb

Too bad, I wasn’t able to take a photo of a live butterfly. Am too scared. Seriously.

The Butterfly Haven

More photos on my next travel post. :)

Halo-halong Litrato04.13.08

Much of what I am about to post below is quite unrelated to each other, since I seem to be in a hurry to post something. I feel like if I don’t, reality might set in again, and I will realize that my weekend is actually as crammed as my weekdays now. Hmm.

Iris

I am just psyched to join several online photography communities, two of which are Pinoy groups. A friend of mine invited me to join Pinoygraphers.co, a group based in the US and that has been gathering many Filipino photography enthusiasts all over.

And of course, Litratong Pinoy, of which 2 of my entries are part of.

You need not be a professional photographer to join communities like these. Heck, the camera I used and still using wouldn’t even match some of the members’ gadgets when it comes to price. It’s really your passion for it and how much you make an effort to show ‘em what you got. :)

And so, another friend mentions that there is another group called Pinoy Photography. But this is mostly dedicated to the pimp-my-cam type of users who are into beefing up their machines, if you know what I mean. Oh no don’t get green on me now. Check out the website to see what I mean.

Now to get ready for my Weekend Snapshot

Pating [Litratong Pinoy]04.10.08

Cool off04.09.08

Cool off muna kami ng blog ko. I need my space.

Hehe. I just need to take a while to adjust to my new job which isn’t really giving me much time for anything else, so i’ll be reserved to publishing drafts and posting snippets for now. :)

But i’ll be sure to post something for Litratong Pinoy which is tomorrow and Weekend Snapshot which is on Mondays, so stay tuned.

Banana Chocolate Fondue04.09.08

This is how you enjoy a chocolate fondue without shelling out at least three hundred bucks and while satisfying your craving for dessert.

First, buy chocolate spread at the supermarket. The more cost effective the brand (read: cheaper), the better. As for me, I settle for Finetti. It costs about P20 cheaper than the leading brand but the taste differs little. Just don’t go chocolate connoisseur on me.

Mixed Tape of Tags04.07.08

Cramming in three tags in one post :)

Am I back in the 90s?

Yeah, Doc, it was the 90s when I became fully aware of this ‘technology’. I guess that’s how young I am. hehe.

I’m sharing these songs with Doc Claire, Patty, and all the mommies and WPP members on my blogroll. There are just so many I can’t pick out just 19, so here are my favorite artists/albums:

  • Dishwalla’s Opaline, Pet Your Friends, and Dishwalla albums

8 reasons why it will never work between me and Superman04.06.08

I have several reasons why it will just not work between me and Superman. Even if admittedly, he is gorgeous (the word doesn’t even begin to describe the latest Clark Kent), and he is super charmingly smart and naive at times, and I am awe-struck by his selfless desire to make the world a better place.

Let’s face it. There are just too many challenges to face before we even get anywhere near the altar. (more…)

Wistful Iris04.04.08

Kelly asked me what my Love DNA is, so here it is. And since you know me to be more inclined to tell the story by the photo i’ll let the pictures do the talking.

My Love Visual DNA: Wistful Soul

I am being realistic.

The test didn’t get me right th first time so I redid it. (More about the wistful soul?)

Malaking Bilog [litratong pinoy]04.03.08

Europa Rad
