reaching for the stars
i don’t want to complain, but i think i’m having a stroke of misfortune. first my car gets a very flat tire. i discover a tiny piece of metal wedged in between the tire grooves, but it’s nothing the vulcanizing shop can’t solve. and then, barely a week later, my car’s battery conks out. tsk tsk. my car Clark must love me very much. either that or he’s really just nagtatampo because he hasn’t stayed clean in the last 2 weeks. (i had him washed, promise. it’s just that everytime i do, it rains. or i park under a tree with a bad case of falling leaves).
anyway on to more pleasant things. mia has changed a lot these days. i’m happy that she’s more sociable (but still prefers not to be carried by people she doesn’t see everyday), and she can understand directions and things more. she has a few tricks up her sleeves already, and can already follow suit when i tell her to do a flying kiss (only that she does it to me sometimes; she puts her hand on my lips). she’s also showing signs that she can walk on her own. she’s just too scared to let go of my hand for now. but i know she’ll learn that eventually. i know sometimes i wish it was sooner rather than later. but if there’s one thing i’ve learned about parenting mia, it’s patience. the other night while i was trying to put mia to bed, i showed her the glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling.
me: mia, where are the stars?
mia: (looks at me, points to the ceiling, smiles widely, and giggles)
that’s another milestone for her. i couldn’t have been more proud of my baby.
i got an award!
thanks, vannie for the friendship award. when i started blogging i only meant to let the world know that i exist. but now i’ve met so many great people around the world that proved to be more than just strangers, and vannie you’re one of them!

“Friendship Day is a special day… It is a special time when you can tell your friends how much you appreciate them and show them how happy and thankful you are to have them… and well, it is the best to let them know how you feel everyday… A Friend is someone who knows all about you and loves you anyway!!!”

Yay! Mia is so cute.
You’re right just be patient and enjoy the sweet moments you’re experiencing with your baby. She’ll be grown up before you know it and you’ll find yourself wishing she was a baby again.
