post Category: Clothes & Stuff, News & Novelties on the Web post postNovember 23, 2007

this is so cool. can someone please send me this for christmas? hehe. it’s an adhesive bacon bandage, one of the many awesome stuff you can find at fredflare.com.it’s a funky colorful site that sells all sorts of fashion accessories and clothing, from mini cupcake lip balms and vintage phone receivers you can really hook up to your cellphone, to character shirts and quilted flats.

i also like the ipod-inspired 2008 neon green calendar. i actually signed up with the site and made a wish list. libre naman mag-wish diba? too bad they don’t ship outside the US just yet. but if you have relatives or friends who are willing to be the shipping destination of your purchases then all the better. i’ve been looking all over the internet for online shops too for cool stuff. another site i like is forever21, which has yet to fully open its doors to buyers outside the US. or if they do, the shipping costs are just too expensive. sometimes you might end up paying more for freight than the item itself.

and remember nancy drew? you can have her on your address book now. galing! all these are from up and coming fashion designers and artists. nowthis is just the kind of art that i like.

the only complain i have is that neat stuff like these are almost always unavailable in the philippines. and if they are, either they’re already very expensive (just like anya hindmarch’s “i’m not a plastic bag”), or they’re cheap imitations. you can’t always get the real stuff. i tried looking for local designers naman, but i don’t think they’re asking much for exposure on the web because you really don’t find them there. around multiply, it’s only resellers of items coming from thailand, hong kong, or korea. there are a few who actually make their own stuff like these polymer charms by steph.

i’d love to promote other local designers if only i can find them :)

Other cool websites here.

I’ve seen it before on the net, the only way to get it is to order online. I don’t think I’d put them on in case I cut myself, hahaha.

Did my comment went thru?
