Nap Time Rocks!

i’m supposed to publish my entry about this annoying little group of people, but that’ll wait. for now, i am seething over the fact that some big media corporation has deliberately forgotten about media ethics.

do you really know everything about media broadcasting? i’m afraid that my roots in the media business is terribly in danger of being typecasted entirely as negative. i am very afraid the time will come that nobody will believe in it anymore. all because of complaints like this. i know that you have a business to run, but hell, we do too!

in case my ranting has gotten you, my readers, confused, i’m talking about a segment going to be aired tonight in this particular local station. i am outraged because one of my brands has been unofficially shown in the show’s plug as one of the products being “exposed”. i have yet to get the details but i will definitely be watching that program closely tonight.

what’s unfair about it is that i never got any feedback or complaint (neither did our customer service group) or any inquiry from the program regarding the product prior to the airing of the plug. this shouldn’t have given them license to show the product on air; at least an acknowledgment during the program should be given, that this was not the manufacturer’s liability. anyway. what about their self-righteous station IDs screaming their impartiality and being for the filipino masa? COME ON. we all know all is fair in business and war, especially if you have the upper hand — the media upper hand, and when you’re earning millions.

you’re not definitely my savior, and you’re not doing any service to me, you don’t. you mess things up, and i’m not the only one who will attest to that.

i know i’m being pretty conclusive right now, but that’s what you usually do when you’re guarding your turf. i just don’t want things to get blown out of proportion once they air this segment, because if it does something to my shares, that network will definitely be seeing the faces of our legal department.
